BetStars Review

BetStars are one of the new betting sites to grace the online bookmaking world, they’re actually a spin off of the brand poker stars and therefore have got quite a large budget to behind them so we can’t see why they wouldn’t be a success. Already bringing in Celebrities such as Cristiano Ronaldo for their advertising campaigns they have began making waves in the sports betting world with a unique set of promotions.
BetStars has actually been around since 2015 but has quickly grown over the last 6 months thanks to some big budget advertising campaigns on the Television.

Site Layout & Usability

The site itself is completely different to what you normally see on the other we’re reviewed in that there are only two columns. Across the top bar are the most popular sports to bet on, where as in a drop down menu next to these you will find the all sports section where as on the right hand side of the main body you’ll find their iconic spin to win feature which can see the odds be increased by up to 10x the amount as well as any other promotions that are currently going on. Down the left hand/centre of the page you will find a selection of up coming, in play and other sports markets. Down the right hand side of the site you’ll find the bet slip.

Betstars layout and interface

The main focus of BetStars is on football, pricing up odds from a selection of the top footballing leagues from across the world. Some matches will have up to 100 markets on it at any given time.

Fotball isnt the only sport that they’ve paid particular attention to, customers can bet on Horse Racing, Tennis, Cricket, Cycling, Darts, a selection of American sports and you can even  bet on live poker games as well.

As the site is still in its early phase we expect more sports and markets to be added shortly so if you dont see the sport you want to bet on we’re sure it will be added in the coming months.

Welcome Bonus

New customers who sign up to BetStars and we imagine that there will be a lot of you will be able to get a £30 free bet. The way this works is you need to place a £10 bet on a sports market where the odds are at least 1/2 and above. Once the best has been placed all bonus funds will be added to your account with in 48 hours of your bet being settled. Its worth noting that you will ave to use your within 7 days of being issued otherwise it gets forfeited.

You will also get the chance to use their spin and bet feature, all you need to do is place a bet and click on the spin button, this will then spin a widget until it displays how much you odds will be increased by. So essentially you’re getting 2 welcome bonuses for the price of one.

As its still a pretty new site we don’t expect them to have as many promotions as some of the more establish online bookmakers we’ve reviewed but they’ve already done a pretty good job. You’ll be able to take advantage of their cash out early function, acca insurance on 6 folds and more, money back specials on selected football games where they finish 0-0 and price boosts on certain matches.

In-Play betting

BetStars have their own in-play betting service which can be accessed on the home screen, they currently have in-play markets on the following sports Football, Tennis, Darts, Baseball, Basketball, Handball, Ice Hockey and Rugby League.

Customer Support

Customers will benefit from the PokerStars support team meaning you’ll have a member of staff at hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week currently however you can only reach them via email. We’ve found response times to be quick though taking approximately one hour to get back to your queries.

Payment Methods

There are a wide selection of payment methods available for you to choose from such as credit and debit card, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller.

BetStars are still in its infancy, however they’ve got massive marketing budget due to their parent company PokerStars so we expect to see some pretty drastic changes over the coming months as they begin to find their feet as a sportsbook. They’ve got a pretty unique welcome bonus and a decent in-play service. While they aren’t the best they are a nice alternative to what is currently available so if you want to a new bookies to sign up to they’re definitely worth a look at.
