While RedBet aren’t one of the most well known bookmakers on our best betting sites list they do offer a a well balanced online sportsbook with a casino section to compliment it perfectly. Currently owned by a company called Bonnier Gaming who are based out in Malta they have been licensed by the Gaming Authority of Malta and can now accept customers from the United Kingdom.
Site Layout & Usability
From the moment that you access the homepage you will be presented with a bright red colour theme which is pleasing on the eye. However the site itself isnt too dissimilar from the other betting sites we have on our list with all the sports markets that you can place a bet on down the left hand side of the page, with the live console and most popular bets down the centre, your bet slip and any features of the site will be down the right hand side. As it takes on a similar style to the other sites we’ve reviewed customers who have a little experience in online gambling will be able to navigate the site with ease.
Bonuses & Promotions
New customers who sign up to RedBet through our site will be able to claim themselves a 50% to €50 free bet. In order to claim the full amount you will need to deposit and wager €100 on a sports market where the odds are a minimum of 2.0. Once you have done this your free bet + any winnings you get will be added to your customer account. Unfortunately one of the areas that they are lacking in are the existing customer promotions as there currently are none this is due to the sports betting side of the site being relatively new and after conversing with the support staff they will be added as the sports section matures.
As we’ve mentioned earlier the sports betting section of RedBet is still in its infancy and there fore there isn’t a huge selection of markets to choose from. You will however find a selection of markets on the most popular sport to bet on Football as well as Cricket, Tennis, Boxing, MMA and Rugby. You will also notice they cover the majority of professional sports over in the United States so if you like betting on American sports you will be able to wager on Basketball, American Football, Baseball and Ice Hockey.
Live betting really isn’t RedBet’s speciality, they only cover a limited selection of sports markets so if this is something you like to do regularly we advise to look at one of the other bookies we’ve reviewed. However the sports they do offer markets on are Football, Baseball, Basketball (Men & Women’s), Volleyball (Men & Women’s) and American Football. One nice feature of the in-play console is that you’re able to add sports to your favourites which means only these selected sports will be displayed.
Unfortunately for fans who like to bet on the go, RedBet doesn’t currently have a dedicated application that you can download from the app store. They do however have a mobile optimised version of the website that can be accessed from your mobile or tablet device.
There are plenty of different methods to choose from when funding your customer account such as; Visa, MasterCard, Electron and Maestro. Withdrawals using a card or bank account will typically take around 3 – 5 working days however if you feel this is too long you can try using Neteller or Skrill as these are typically processed within 24 – 48 hours.
Customer support isn’t the best at RedBet as they have limited support hours from 9am – 1am which while it covers most the day its not quite the 24-7 support that we’re used to. A positive from this is they have multiple language support which you dont normally get at some the UK betting sites we have listed on here. If you’re unable to get in touch over Live Chat then you can email directly in and a member of the team will reply within a 24 hour time period. There is also a telephone number that you can use should you want to discuss your problem over the phone.
On paper there are quite a few things missing from RedBet for us to feature it highly on our best betting sites list, the lack of a mobile application, small selection of in-play markets and limited live chat hours can be quite off putting. However if you plan on betting on American sports then you may want to consider signing up to RedBet and claiming their welcome bonus.
